Ed Ness: Board member Linkedin profile

Ed Ness is a Public Relations professional with direct journalism experience in radio and television newsrooms understanding what editors seek in press releases. He is a corporate training generalist with a focus on soft skills including sales, customer service, problem solving, and teambuilding. He has substantial experience in the hospitality, residential property management, temporary storage, car rental, and heavy equipment industries. Since 2009 he was the Communications Director The Evangelical Network developing media plans, promotions, and marketing for the national non-profit. This includes pitching media stories, writing media releases, directing media inquiries, and serving as a spokesperson for the organization. He also directed video shoots and developed internal communications. He was President of PFLAG Oakland/East Bay from 2011- 2016, and a Contributing writer for the San Francisco Bay times for almost three years.

Michael Kasian-Morin began volunteering with Archive Productions in 2018 and has video taped and edited numerous videos for the organization. He obtain a Master's degree from San Francisco State University and worked with other nonprofits before again working with our organization.

David Lassman is an aspiring filmmaker. Having written and directed his first film, The rise and Fall of Jeremy Star and produced a major documentary, 50 Years of Fabulous. His background makes him perfect to sit on our board. He is an important member of our community having reigned as Empress of San Francisco and sits on the board of San Francisco’s Imperial Council.

Sami Gowara is a Senior Member Relationship Specialist with the Redwood Credit Union. He has worked with the GGBA and LGBT community. His extensive experience in finance is invaluable to our organization. 

Diane Williamson: Board member Linkedin profile

Diane Willliamson holds a B.A. in Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts from San Francisco State University. She has served as Chair of the Alameda County Veterans Affairs Commission and currently leads The Veterans Community Media Network, a nonprofit helping veterans access their benefits.

Diane  was born in Pittsburgh, PA and went to Edinboro State College in Erie, PA. She joined the Army in 1976, becoming a Nuclear Weapons Maintenance Specialist. Upon return, Diane completed her A.S. in Graphic Design. Continuing her education, Diane received a certificate of completion from Silicon Valley College in Computer Graphic Design and three certificates from City College of San Francisco in Video Production and Broadcasting. In 2014 she graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts. She has served as Chair of the Alameda County Veterans Affairs Commission.  The Veterans Community Media Network, which she founded, is a 501c3 non-profit.  Diane serves on the staff of OWH Studios and assists other veterans with connection to resources available to them.

Board Experience: While board president of the  National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) San Francisco they received NAMI National’s sole award  for Outstanding Public Education by an Affiliate.  She also served as board president of NAMI California — the largest affiliate in the country —and wrote their newsletter. The Psychiatric Foundation of Northern California invited her to be their first non-psychiatrist board member and she subsequently received an award from the American Psychiatric Association for her advocacy. She served four terms as board president of the Mental Health Association of San Francisco.

Work Experience: She worked in real estate office administration for many years  followed by a career in vocational rehabilitation at a nonprofit and later created and ran a program for the City & County of San Francisco.
